Primitive Reflexes
Active primitive reflexes can look like a child who doesn't/cannot sit still in class, they fidget and need to move around more than other kids. They might have poor spacial awareness and run into things a lot. They might have poor speech, or dribble, or have poor handwriting and manual dexterity, or really struggle with fine motor skills. Children with reflexes online might also have very long, drawn out meltdowns, be very sensitive to lots of stimulus, or be very sensitive emotionally. It can also affect sleep, digestion and immune function. Boys especially could be more outwardly aggressive.
In a world where beauty can be easily manufactured, how do we create radiance?
We are living in a time where Injectables, AI, plastic surgery, cosmetic tattoos, laser etc are not only easily accessible, but so normalised that you're weird for NOT doing it.
Would it be an alternative (albeit probably the harder one) to learn to love and accept those parts of ourselves by doing the inner work? When beauty can be so easily manufactured, how do we create true radiance? How do we create that beautiful glow that you can only achieve from the inside out?
We come from a long line of Generational Trauma…
I don't know my family history as well as I would like. I can only speak to the last few generations when I say there's been some who have served in wars, and seen the atrocities. Those who then lived through with returned soldiers who most likely had undiagnosed PTSD, sometimes living in fear of the people residing under their roof. Those who experienced the pain and struggle of establishing a life for themselves in a new country, working the land, and all that comes with hard, physical labour, drought, poverty, and then betrayal by their own family members.
Is it a Sensory Processing Issue or is it a normal response to too much stimulus?
I was recently joking with someone in my DM's about having to turn the radio down to see better... how many of us have done this?
Picture it; you're in 4 lanes of traffic, trying to listen to the maps app tell you where you're going, you need to cross 3 lanes of traffic, and the kids are fighting in the back seat. How many of us turn the music down, and ask the kids for complete silence while we navigate this task?
How many of you can feel yourself getting anxious just thinking about it?
The Minute you put them on a pedestal, you've given your power away...
It doesn’t matter what occupation/profession you seek expert help from, if that person considers themselves above you, or you allow yourself to put them on a pedestal as the ‘expert’, you’ve given your power away and are no longer in control of your own journey. Everyone has their own zone of genius, a top heart specialist still has to take his car to a mechanic for a service because he likely doesn't know a thing abut cars... That's what makes us all unique, not greater or lesser than...
Why Millennials are all traumatised from their childhoods, and why their parents think they did a great job...
Our healing journey can find us looking to our parents for some sort of accountability, or apology, but without awareness, there can be no admittance of wrong doing. They are engrained in their beliefs, and their emotional vocabulary hasn't evolved or expanded the way ours has, so alot of the time we are then gaslit by them when we try and explain our trauma.
Men decided Women could have it all, and it's Killing us.
The feminist movement was orchestrated by men, to drive women out of their homes and into the workplace. Why? To double the amount of people in the workforce, which means twice as much tax. Women were manipulated into thinking that they were making a difference, enacting change in the world, and it was all built on a lie.
Woolworths can suck a dick!
We all know it's a strategic move by supermarkets to put all the toys and confectionary at child height, and at the checkouts; because you can avoid the lolly aisle, but you can't avoid the checkout right??
They deliberately set us up to fail, shopping with kids is hard enough, but trying to scan and bag your own groceries in the self serve area whilst also trying to stop your child grabbing lollies or a chocolate bar?? They know we will say yes just to get the hell out of there!
I thought I'd won that battle when I started doing click and collect, but good old Woolworths had other ideas...
Are you drinking enough water?
Do you feel tired without having done a good day’s work? Do you wake up first thing in the morning and don’t feel like getting out of bed? Feeling flushed and irritable? Anxious? Dejected? Depressed? Heavy head? Cravings? These are all signs of dehydration.
