Braingym® 104
Calmer bodies, organised brains, better learning
16th & 17th May 2026
How Brain Gym® can support children who feel overwhelmed, dysregulated, or are struggling to learn
If your child is often overwhelmed, emotionally reactive, fidgety, shut down, or struggling to focus, there is usually more going on than just behaviour.
Sometimes children are doing their best to cope in a body and brain that are under stress.
You might notice things like:
big emotional reactions that are hard for them to move through
difficulty sitting still at the dinner table, kinder, or in the classroom
trouble following instructions the first time
constant fidgeting, crashing, chewing, or needing movement
becoming overwhelmed in busy or loud environments
difficulty with transitions or changes in routine
clumsiness or poor coordination
challenges with reading, writing, concentration, or memory
sensitivity to food textures or a limited range of foods
frustration, low confidence, or avoiding tasks
difficulty expressing what they need or how they feel
For many children, these are signs that the brain and body need more support to organise and work together.
What others are saying
“All schools need to learn this and understand the needs of people to be able to better learn.”
“A fun and educational experience. I’m keen to learn more when it comes to primitive reflexes.”
“The hands-on learning was great and everything felt coherent and easy to understand.”
“It was great not only doing the movements, but understanding why we were doing them. Jade explained how to apply specific movements to real situations, which takes the guesswork out of it.”
Dive deep into the 26 Brain Gym® activities. Experience them in your body. Gain a better understanding of each movement, the philosophy behind the Brain Gym program, and how this knowledge can support your daily life routine.

Brain Gym® is grounded in movement, with the addition of Educational Kinesiology.
In early life, babies build their brain through movement.
Sucking, reaching, lifting the head, turning and rotating the neck, rolling, crawling, balancing, and coordinating both sides of the body all help form the neural pathways needed for learning, communication, coordination, and emotional regulation.
These are not just adorable milestones.
They are how the brain and body organise, integrate, and prepare for life.
The 26 Brain Gym® movements are based on these developmental patterns.
They are simple, purposeful movements designed to support brain integration and help the left and right hemispheres communicate more effectively.
This is not random movement.
It is a structured, research-informed approach that supports:
emotional regulation
coordination and balance
visual and auditory processing
body awareness
learning readiness
Why Brain Gym® works
Simple, practical, and easy to use at home and beyond
One of the best parts about Brain Gym® is that it is easy to learn and easy to bring into everyday life.
These movements can be woven into:
play
silly games
dance parties
morning routines
transitions before school or homework
everyday moments at home
It only takes 5 to 10 minutes a day.
For parents, one of the most valuable parts is that these movements can be done with someone their child already feels safe with and connected to.
You.
That connection matters. It helps the movements feel natural, engaging, and supportive rather than clinical or unfamiliar.
And for those who work with children because they genuinely care about their wellbeing, learning, and development, this workshop offers practical tools that can add real value to the work you already love doing.
Being ready to Learn Changes Everything.
What if your child could...
Easily participate in the classroom
Build confidence and emotional resilience
Focus, learn, and process with more ease
Have the capacity to deal with interruptions and distractions
Move through transitions without shutdowns or meltdowns
Confidently try new things and be ok when they fail
It starts by letting their body lead.
Braingym strengthens the mind-body connection and uses movement to build neural pathways necessary for learning and development.

Is the workshop enough, or does my child need more support?
For many families, this workshop is a beautiful first step.
It offers practical tools, a deeper understanding of Brain Gym®, and simple ways to begin supporting your child at home.
At the same time, every child is different.
Some children may need a little more individual support alongside these movements, and that is okay too.
If you are unsure where to begin, you are very welcome to get in touch and share a little about your child’s experiences, challenges, and needs.
Sometimes the most helpful place to start is simply with a conversation.
From there, we can gently explore whether the Brain Gym® 104 workshop feels like the right fit on its own, or whether a more personalised treatment plan would offer the support your child needs.
That way, you do not have to work it out on your own.
